Indian PCC from Toronto Consulate!! Delay in getting PCC??

As now there is no more VFS I sent my PCC request through BLS along with my husband's. I got my passport and PCC back after about 2 weeks but my husband still havn't got his PCC although when they sent my PCC they gave his passport back and asked to fill another form. I visited Bls office today they told me the same thing my husband's passport was issued by tatkal method too and that is the reason behind this delay and it could take upto 2 months they told me today. We were preparing PR file and thought to send PCC beforehand but as it will take more time I have decided to send the application without my husband's PCC. Is it fine? We are applying under QSW.
anybody gone through such case knows how long it can take to get PCC from India or is there any otherway like we can get PCC easily from India?

i'm also in the same situation.I have applied in Nov 2012 and there were issues in my PCC as I got my passport through tatkal process. I have filled additional forms and till now I have not got my PCC. they will send the form to your local place in india and they will do the verification in the address mentioned in the passport . Once the verification is done, they will send the report back to Canada. The whole process takes time as you can see in my case( more than 6 months). sorry to give you this disappointing news...

My husband also got his passport through tatkal I got mine PCC but they are saying it will take 2-3 months to get his PCC as you said they have to redo all the process which they skipped when issued the passport. Anyways we already sent our application for federal along with my Pcc and we are waiting for his PCC. as I guess it will take some time for federal a[pplication to start processing by that time hopefully we will get his PCC.
bEtween how long it takes for the federal step? we applied after getting CSQ from Montreal.

I think it is valid for 6 months but I am not sure about it may be someone else could guide you better.

So as somebody told me that they will send request in the local police station, I asked my parents to go and check with them but they are saying they won't get any request whole thing is soo confusing. I applied along with my husband for PCC almost 2 months ago. I got mine after around 15 days but as my husband's passport was issued via tatkal it still shows under process and next big thanks to BLS who are new in this whole thing and they don't know how long it will take? what steps I should take to fasten the process.I have no idea when we will get it back. We already send our application for federal along with my Pcc and all other necessary documents let's see .

Please go to Embassy and ask the status. You might need to make frequent visits to embassy to get this done. Tatkal means there is a delay. Mine is 6th month going, but your case might be different.
