Hi all,

Anybody who has applied for Indian PCC recently from Toronto VFS/Consulate faced delay in getting PCC? I have applied for PCC on Nov 12, 2012 and till now I have not received the PCC and moreover they keep the passport with them. Without passport I cannot do the medicals.i need to send all the documents before Jan 8 to Delhi CIC.

Can anybody tell me if there is any process to expedite this? Can I send the set of the documents without PCC? Should I ask more time from CIC to submit the docs as the PCC is delaying the process?

Seniors please suggest!

The Indian consulate takes at least 4 - 5 weeks before they give you a PCC. They keep the passport as if they send it to India to get the police clearance. But I know for a fact that they don't really send it. They issue the certificate from Toronto itself. Call them and try to explain your situation, they might just issue your certificate in a couple of days. I submitted mine at their Brampton office and received my PCC in 4 weeks.

You sure can send in your documents to CIC without a PCC and send in the PCC when it becomes available. But if you have already submitted your application and the CIC has requested you to send additional docs including PCC, then you don't have an option but to wait.

Thanks for the response! I'm planning to send out an requesting email again explaining the situation today. Even If I can get it done by next weekend, i would be in a safer side as one my friend is going to India and I can send the entire set of documents through him.

I applied Oct 17, 2012 and I still have not heard anything back from them...what I would say is go visit the embassy and try to explain your situation...you can also try contacting the local SHO of your district in India and see if the delay you are experiencing is not from their end...and hope for the best...

For which state in India you applied for PCC? As per my understanding they check through online system first and if there are any problems in that, they send that to India for additional verification. I have already send out an email to consulate requesting speedy process, but would go to consulate directly this week to explain the situation again.

IndoCanada,

Have you received your PCC or still waiting for it? I am facing a similar situation, with no reply from VFS at all..

Hi IndoCanada,

Any updates on your PCC. I am planning to go to the Indian Consulate, if I don't hear from them this week.
Do you know if going to the Indian Consulate will help escalate things?

Please reply when you get a chance..

Go and check with consulate regularly, else they won't do anything with your case. I have visited consulate 7 times to get the file sent to India for completing the verification. My passport was in tatkal and police verification report is missing from the file.

After putting your application through VFS, you have wait for 2 weeks. Go to consulate after 2 weeks and tell them it is urgent. You might need to go to consulate couple of times before you get the things done! best of luck..

Hi,

Did anyone already receive there Police clearance ?. I had applied in Oct 2012. Was asked to submit additional documents and photos in January 2013. Documents re-submitted. I have still not heard anything from them. I visited the consulate already 3 times but no luck. They said it's sent to India for verification and they don't know when it will be back.

If anyone received theirs please let me know if you did anything special to expedite the process.

Please check with your local police station in India. Check if they got the verification request. You might need to pay something to get it done from India fast.
