Accepted if it covers from your 18th birthday and at all addresses that you have stayed since then, else it's better to get it from PSK.visawizard said:Hi,

If you don't currently stay there, then you need to get another PCC that is issued post your last stay in that country. You can get it from the Indian embassy of your current country of stay.visawizard said:Thank you for the info
Actually I got my last PCC from india through PSK in june 2015. After that I have stayed there only for five months.
That is good info. I am from Cochin, I will check whether there is any such portal. I am not in India so cannot get it from PSK since I need to be physically present to get it done through PSK.kadian said:Which city are you from.
In delhi, we can apply online on delhi police website.
For other non-metro states, one can apply for PCC from Passport office website.
I reside in Australia and applied through the embassy, however they have sent it to india for further verification. This can even take upto 2 months and I dont have that much time. Hence I am looking for alternatives.CanadaWeCome said:If you don't currently stay there, then you need to get another PCC that is issued post your last stay in that country. For Non residents their Indian Embassy if the only alternative for getting PCCs since you cannot apply from India (PSK) while staying out of country.visawizard said:I reside in Australia and applied through the embassy, however they have sent it to india for further verification. I might be able to get the PCC from SP office even though I am outside India. That is why I wanted to know whether the PCC from SP office will be accepted by CIC.CanadaWeCome said:For Non residents their Indian Embassy if the only alternative for getting PCCs since you cannot apply from India (PSK) while staying out of country.
yes it is valid, if you have only one residence address because thy will mention your address on it. IF you have stayed at multiple places, try and get those pcc also.visawizard said:I might be able to get the PCC from SP office even though I am outside India.
