Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

I was in this situation once. You don’t need an original COPR. Take print out of the photo or scan doc and sign it and send it to the BLS along with the other documents. That is how I renewed my Indian passport last November 2024
I lost my passport and need to submit application in person. So the copy is okay.
Hello to anyone who is reading my post. I would greatly appreciate if you can provide any genuine input on my situation.
"I am PR holder. My Indian passport is expiring on 11th March 2025. I have already started passport renewal application on BLS website, only thing is earliest appointment to BLS Toronto center I got is on 11th March itself. Will this be any issue?
And lastly since this is my first time renewing passport, do they expect all the photocopies to be in color format?

Hi - Guys
My passport is expiring in 5 days and the status has been changed to "Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy\/Consulate.", how much longer before it advances to the next step - without a passport i am unable to apply for WP extension.
The inspect mode doesnt show any updates.

Anything color or black and white.
Make sure you mention on the application form, as per the Indian passport.
Youre a PR holder, then the printable address will be Canadian not Indian,
And please mention the Ontario and Canada as well, otherwise they reject. If its mention ON, then mention ON not ontario.
COPR is mandatory, as the consulate needs to see the category.
And at last on the emergency contact name and address, kindly mention the complete address, other wise they will reject.
NON ECR Category will be Yes
Indian address will come in other address, and you have to mention Indian phone number.
If everything is perfect then they will come to your photos, make sure its darker clothes, with shoulders visible.
And they will ask you for the courier, if you say yes, they will charge you 60$ along with extra some 10$ or 18$. As per the consulate website they can only charge 40$. Just be careful on that.
They will add the full potential to sell the Premium lounge service by rejecting your things. If everything is perfect and you say that you want pickup instead of courier, their attitude will change, you will see it.
Consulate site says, In province courier is 40 not 60.

actually there is ALOT of publicly funded resources available to newcomers to help you settle and get assistance within Canada > newcomeroffers.ca
Look in the inspect mode for police verification, if the address to be printed on the passport is Indian address, most likely it has gone for police verification and you will have to contact them to have it cleared. My friend applied on March 3rd and received his passport on 24th(Canadian address).

The Pickup time for the passport collection is from 3pm to 430pm
Better you visit the centre by 230pm. As there will be a queue.
If its minor passport collection, then both parents must visit the centre for the collection, No authorizations allowed.
