Indian Passport Renewal from BLS Toronto

I applied on Jan 18, 2022 so its already been 2 months. Does this mean my police verification is not done? Its confusing as it also says Passport application has been granted.

I applied for a normal passport for my 2 daughters. One daughter, there was a police verification and my family in India has provided the details and now the current status is "Passport has been printed" for the past 2 days. So I am hoping that I will get her passport soon. My other daughter's status is still under review. police verification has not been initiated yet. no update so far. Here is their timeline

First application
29/12/2021 - Mailed to BLS
21/01/2022 - Application Date in CGI
19/02/2022 - Police verification Initiated
02/03/2022 - Print has been initiated
08/03/2022 - Passport has been printed

Second Application
29/12/2021 - Mailed to BLS
21/01/2022 - Application Date in CGI

Three more steps
1) Passport print has initiated. Do you see this status? (Not sure how long it takes. for me I got this status yesterday and nothing changed after that) . For lot of people status changed in a day from "initiated" to "printed"
2) Passport has been printed and will be delivered shortly/BLS status: In transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre (2-3days)
3)Dispatched from BLS (one day)

These days .. its not consistent and lets hope for the best.

I am travelling april 1st and worried too!!!

Check in inspect mode if there is any police verification initiated ? On page 90 of this thread or around that someone provided the steps. Did you provide Canadian address to be printed ? If yes, then there won't be any PV.

It has to be "Print has been initiated for passport ". PV initiated meaning police verification has initiated according to previous posts . I am sorry . I don't want to confuse you more.

What I have seen so far is status update usually happens around 01 or 02 PM EST .it may be updated today. if it hasn't updated by Friday and if you are near toronto area . you can check out the consular camp CGI is organizing this Saturday . i am planning to do that if my status doesnt change by Friday .

Did police came for verification ? If yes, after how many days of status changing to "Sent for Police Verification" ? My daughter's passport is in police verification state and I got an email as well about the PV Initiation but no one is calling from the local police station.

None came from police station or called for verification by their own. We contacted them after getting the email. Again very rare that you’ll get a call from police station. If you have some contact in the PS its a day or 2. Otherwise you can expect more than a week.

you probably need to explain to IRCC that your passport is gone for renewal. I was hoping to get the same request for all pages of PP by IRCC as my Citizenship app is running parallel to this. Already made the copies in advance so as to avoid being in the same situation.
