The passport website mentions that if both parents have the names of their significant others mentioned in their respective passports then it is easier for the child to get their passport. My wife and I both have that.

However, my wife and new born are in our hometown while I am back in Bangalore.

Does anyone know if it is necessary for both parents to visit the PSK with the child to complete formalities? I could do without having to travel back to my hometown just to complete the passport formalities.

TIA

I got it for my baby..
1) only my wife had my name on her passport & I still donot have her name on my passport
2) she alone took the baby & got it done.

Please check document advisor on PSK website & rules...
