Indian Overseas citizen registration

Hi Folks,
My friend who applied on APR 2014, received a call today from Ottawa and asked for IOC details - Indian Overseas citizen registration ? They said it seems you need this for PR you have to get it from Indian court till then your appln is on hold. Have anyone undergone this situation or does anyone know what is IOC? Please help

It's a SCAM. Tell your friend not to fall for the money grabbing techniques that these people employ. You do not need IOC or anything like that to apply for a PR.

there are people in this forum who also got such call , you can refer those forums.
Also for APR 2014 applicant CIC will not turn this fast i believe.

So beware of fake calls.
Mean time you can report this to CIC with all details like phone number and what query they asked etc.
