Hello
I had 2 rejection for SP back in 2017 sept the reasons were funds and purpose of visit. Which doesn’t make sense cause i had showed more dan 50000 CAD POF and clearly mentioned why I choose Canada for my bachelors study. Anyways that’s the past I completed my bachelors in management here in UAE and applying now for my MBA specialization in international business, i have got done everything got GIC done got the LOA from a DLI i have my funds ready and everything is in place. The only thing which is kinda a big hurdle is writing my SOP , back in 2017 i was applying for aviation management and now i have changed my field to business management should i mention in details why I changed my plan to study? And how can i show a great ties with my home country when i am born and grown in abu dhabi UAE , my father has business here should i show that? And every member of my family is here in UAE. My plan is to study in Canada so i get exposure and more experience and i chose international business so i can come back to UAE and help my father to take the business higher with the education I receive in canada. Please someone help me so i am confused what all to mention in my SOP?

Sorry to say but your case is more complicated than most NRI's here. VO in AUH are very particular about home ties. They disregard your status here and probably don't understand how the system works. Lots of NRI's are going to their home country just to apply considering the unwarranted decision making towards NRI's. Does your father have any property/business at all in India ? Would you be able to link back to starting something in India with tangible evidence(think expansion plans)? You would have to show something as they don't care about what you own here in UAE.

I was going to fly to india and apply from there but since everything is online my consultant suggested it doesn’t matter where you are applying from and it might look bad since it’ll be shown i just flew to india to apply for SP. i will providing with the documents showing number of businesses my father own in UAE and yes my father does have few properties back in india but its just properties and noting more. Even tho if i flew to india , we dont have anything there other than properties, everything we got is over here in the UAE.

Its a tough call to be honest. You can read through on this forum, there have been several rejections even when applicant has produced tons of documents stating home ties back in India. Alternatively, get in touch with a lawyer in Canada and see how they can help make your file stronger. Its an expensive route but worth the try.

Hi !

My second application also refused from KSA and now I have realized there’s no point applying from here. I’m planning to travel back to my home country, apply through SDS from there. Once I get my passport stamp, only then will apply for SOWP.
My reasons this time were VERY GENERIC again. 1) Purpose Of Visit (same as last) (my scores are really good and consistent, no back logs and 6.5 GPA OUT OF 7)
Bachelor in Management Studies, Previous work experience in Brand management and Social Media executive and PROGRAM in Canada I got admitted to is Global Business Management Post graduate certificate.
2) Immigration Status (same as last)
3) Current employment situation (dunno why this when I clearly mentioned I can’t work in Saudi Arabia on a dependent visa)
They just wrote these three words in each sentence and no extra explanation. Makes me believe that they just are hell bent on not giving me a permit that’s about it.

I did give a VERY THOROUGH explanation about linking my course to my previous work experience + my future goals. Also told them explicitly regarding immigration status that I DONT INTEND TO LIVE IN CANADA OR KSA and this course is to get a post graduate credential and seek employment in India.

dunno what more they want. I’m convinced that applying from Saudi along with the spouse is a NO GO ever. So will go back to India after getting my GCMS and start my journey as an SDS from there.
Do give in your valuable input.
Thanks.

Just because you write it doesn't make it true. If you've been living in KSA for last 10 years then saying that India is your future home seems doubtful. All you can do is provide more proof like family ties, properties, future job offer and more. Applying from there may also help

I was just giving an example. If you've only lived there for 3 years then state it. Tell them it was a temporary posting. No one else is going to tell your story.

Thank you! That is true. I’ve researched and spoken to people with similar cases. They’ve said applying from India is the best bet if you are living in a third country. Going to try my luck at that.

We cant change the way VO thinks no matter how logical we think it is. Best is to work around it and in a way that convinces the VO. Apply from home country so your file moves with other applicants from your country of citizenship.
