I have Bachelors of Law from University of Mumbai. As per my ECA Report my Canadian Equivalency is “First Professional Degree”.

1) Now when I’m making my Personal reference code should I put my highest level of education as Bachelors or Professional as both countries are viewing it differently.

2) When I’m making my Express Entry profile and adding all my qualifications should I put my Level of Education as Bachelors and in Canadian Equivalency as Professional?

Choose professional under equivalent dropdown.

Urgent help needed here. Please help me.
I have a law degree and a call to bar certificate from Nigeria which wes evaluated as a bachelor's degree (four years) and a post graduate diploma (1 yr). However, I made the mistake of choosing masters/entry to practice licensed profession for my Canadian equivalency.
I have received ITA and I have submitted my application. I only realised this error yesterday. What can I do????????

P.s: when i recalculated my score claiming two degrees instead of professional degree, i still fall above the crs score for that round.
PLEASE REPLY, I AM SO WORRIED.
THANK YOU.

Hi dipen_14,

Appriciateif you could let me know which ECA body you got your LLB degree assessed. I have read similar thread where people say WES is not assessing Professional Degree. So appriciate if you could let me know which assessment body you dealt with.

Desperately looking for an answer.

Hi dipen_14,

I am sure you must have researched well before deciding to go with WES. As you might have seen, there are lots of pessimism about WES when it comes to first professional Degree. Could you kindly let me know what made you choose WES over other Institutes?

Also what is your LLB's duration, please?. I used WES free tool for your said university, but it still showed your University LLB as Canadian 4 year bachelor's degree equivalent.

Thanks in advance.

I believe WES is designated by IRCC so there is no other option to get ECA done.

My LLB duration was 3 years. On the ECA report it shows 1st professional degree even though on the free toll it shows equivalency of 4 years bachelor degree.

Any update on your application outcome?

I wanted to know from where should I do my ECA. I'm a double graduate i.e b.com and LLB(3 Years) from Nagpur University. I did some research and I even checked it on WES's website regarding the equivalency of The law degree and it showed that Canada considers bachelors of law which is of 4 years. I'm concerned because while calculating CRS score if WES doesn't count indian Law degree as a bachelors degree or professional degree then my points will be really low and I may not be able to make it to the cut off score which is at present running around 470. Please help.

I have the same question. Even I did the same free online assessment on WES and it showed that they consider 4 year's bachelors of law as bachelors. What to do now?

Indian Law degrees are accessed as Masters/Professionals degree by IQAS only.
