Indian international driving license is required any RTO letter to write G2-test

Getting the sworn affidavit from the Indian consulate allows us to take G test directly, did anyone succedded ?

The RTO needs to just write something like this:
"To whomsoever it may concern.

This is to confirm that Mr So and So has a valid Indian driving license since so and so date. The license allows the licensee to drive so and so class of vehicles.
This is also to confirm that there are no traffic violations reported against license no XXXXXX issued to Mr So and So.
"

I think something like this would suffice.

Did the last line of not having any traffic violations helped you in getting discount in auto insurance premium in Canada ??

I got the letter from Indian Consulate when I applied for my license in Toronto. But for insurance companies, they need a driver's abstract which my friend in RTO back home has never heard of.
So will that letter from RTO be sufficient to get discount on auto insurance here ? I am under 25 years old and so premiums for me are really high. . .especially when don't have a descent job

No, but you may be eligible for m2 license, check your province specific website
