Hi all
I got ITA last week and I am in the process of collecting documents. We are from India living in US. We had applied earlier also for PR but our profile was in eligible.
During that time my wife has received PCC from Indian Consulate in San Francisco which mentions her passport number in the certificate and also there is a stamp on her passport. Since then she has renewed her passport so do I need to get a new PCC from the Indian Consulate since the passport number mentioned in the PCC is from her old passport?
There is still a valid US visa on the old passport too. Also, she got the PCC on 25th Jan 2017 and hasn't visited India since then, so can I put this in the letter of explanation as the PCC is still valid or should I get a new PCC?

Thanks

If she hasn't traveled to India since the issuance of the PCC, she should be good. Make sure you include a short letter explaining this situation when you upload the police certificates.

PCC from new passport is required. They issue one real quick, why not get one without thinking much. If the passport was renewed in US, you could get PCC in a matter of few hours.
