check CIBC website. You can process all formalities online. You need internet banking facility in any of the Indian bank. Not necessary to be in India to get GIC.

what is some one is working in another country? you cant quit your job and go back to india Just to apply for visa. if your visa gets rejected, you loose job and visa both. risky.

So don't apply through SDS. If you want to apply through SDS you need to be in India.

Am not sure. All they want is it should be transferred from students account from India.
