Do not do that. ??? most likely it will be refused based on your ties to your country and you are not well established in your own country. There are many students who have applied from outside their home countries and despite their very good profile they have been refused the visa with the same reason. Best will be for u to come back to home country and after living in your home country for six months or so, apply for the student visa.

I have written it based on my personal experience and what I have seen in this forum. and for more information please consult other experts like Scylla

Guys Please don't give any "advice" if weren't sure of what you were talking about.

There are many people (including me) who got visa from a diplomatic post outside their home country.

It differs from person to person and it isn't one cure for all.

If you think that you can show that your primary intention is only to study ie., showing that what ever you are going to study is to enhance your career but not a bait to get your PR. Also you have to show a steady income, good academic background and most importantly you should be able to convince VO that you can survive outside Canada even if you fail to secure a PR after your proposed studies.

Ask about the application for study–permit visa after 2–year study in Canada

Ask about the application for study–permit visa after 2 –year study in Canada

I am a foreigner and not an immigrant in Canada. I have finished 2-year study in Canada for Grade 8 and 9. In the past 2 years I did not need study–permit, because of my parents’ work-permit. Now they will leave from Canada. So I need to apply study–permit visa as an international student in Canada, before my visitor visa is invalid.
I hope to ask everyone the following questions. Thanks a lot.
1 I will live in home stay and continue to study in Grade 10-12. May I apply a 3-year visa for the rest high school education?
2 How much is the money which I need to deposit in Canada’s bank?
3 How about other needed materials during the application for my study–permit visa?

Hi, is there any Indians from Philippines who have applied their study permit using the Study Direct Stream (SDS) Program? Can you guys share your experiences?
I'm planning to apply through the SDS program for a study permit too!
But my issue is I'm on a investor visa here in Bahrain (been staying here in Bahrain since I was born.Completed school, bachelors and finally took up my father business. I've been to India for about 350 days in the 4 years mostly for vacation.)
Could I be eligible to apply through SDS system or I'll have to go through the Regular study permit application process?

what are your thoughts?

You are "based" in PHL .
Your family is there and you are permanent residents , so applying from PHL is your best choice !

I am a temporary worker in Saudi Arabia , applied from Saudi Arabia and was approved !

Why ?

1. Born in the same country , family lives in same country !
2. Not a PR , just temporary worker status even though I lived 25 years in KSA !

So go ahead and apply from PHL , make sure you show your ties to PHL , and India too if possible !

I did the same , got my visa in 14 days !

All the best .
