India Visa Office Choice in Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)

I went through the past applications here and everybody seems to choose New Delhi as the visa office while applying from India. I see that there are many other visa offices such as in mumbai, pune chennai and elsewhere.

Is it mandatory to select visa office as New Delhi in the generic application form for India, bhutan Nepal and afghanistan or we can select mumbai or pune or other visa offices as given in India site >> india.gc.ca

really confused because i dont stay in delhi and if i choose delhi as visa office i may be required to travel quite frequently later to Delhi?

The only reason you will need to travel to Delhi is if they request a interview. The only CHC in india which processes PR applications is Delhi AFA i know. The other ones are mostly for temporary visas and work visas.
