Thanks for the reply xpressentry. How tedious is the documentation? Can you throw some light on the procedure of the entire PR process?

Thanks again!

Its not that tedious. And remember, no one knows your case better than you do. Even if you hire a consultant, you will be the one arranging all the documents. So why pay extra money to someone when you yourself are going to do most of the job. This forum will help you in getting your queries answered. Most of the consultants turn out to be a pain and there is not much transparency in their process.

For the procedure, read this thread.

You need IELTS, ECA, reference letters, PCC, bank statements, medical, photographs and visas and stamps of your passports.

You need to take the IELTS. The consultant wont take it for you
For ECA, you have to get the transcripts from your university and give it to the consultant. The consultant will just create an account and post it. The consultant will not contact your university for transcripts.
For reference letters, you have to contact the employer and collect it from them. The consultant wont contact your employers, chase after them and collect them.
For PCC, you have to present yourself to the police or PSK. the consultant wont physically do it for you.
For bank statements, you have to go the bank. The consultant cant get bank letters for you as you are the account holder.
For photographs, you have to click your own and give it to the consultant
For medical, you have to go to the clinic. The consultant wont go for you.

Basically, you are doing all the legwork for your application. You are going to the university for transcripts. You are going to collect reference letters, get PCC and bank statements, click a photograph and visit a doctor.

All the consultant is doing is filling up a form for you, posting stuff to the ECA provider and scanning documents. If you have done all the hard work, cant you fill the form, post stuff and scan documents? Do you think it is worth spending lakhs to have someone else fill a form, post stuff and scan documents when you can do it yourself and save yourself that money?

The consultant doesnt have a magic wand that will make your application any more successful than if you did it on your own.

Some consultants dont even give you log in details of your profile. You have no control over your application and are at their mercy throughout.

If your case is complicated like having a pending separation or divorce, custody issues, crime then go for an IRCC regulated lawyer.

Thank you very much Maverick28 for your inputs. As you said, it makes sense to do it myself rather than going through a consultant. Will get back to you for more clarifications.

Thank you very much for the detailed information. It helped a great deal. I will get in touch as and when required. Thanks again.

Hi friends, I am new to this forum. On top of that I am novice as far as OINP assessment criteria goes or express entry criteria for that matter. I need information regarding IELTS score. Is IELTS score required beforehand to begin with the provincial immigration process or creating express entry profile? Further, I want information about my chosen NOC which is 6235 Financial sales representatives skill level B. Does the invitation to apply depend on your NOC and does my chosen NOC (6235) carry any significance for kind consideration by the immigration authorities? Would be much obliged if some inputs are given.
Thanks!!

Hi Lohit,

The process for PR application is simplified by the CIC. So do not hire any consultant. The consultant will only arrange your papers and do nothing else. You will have to provide / write all the info. The requirement is you be honest while answering, do not hide information and scrutinize all the info that you provide 2-3 times before submitting. Especially the residential history and travel history part. Otherwise you should be okay.

Best of luck!

Cheers!

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post in the forum so pardon me if it doesn't make sense.

I am basically from Bangalore (India) and I am planning to initiate PR for me and my spouse. I am basically from IT background with 6+ years of work experience. I have done some research online on the process of PR. I was thinking to take a Immigration Consultancy agency for helping me initiate the PR. Do you guys think its a good idea or can I do it all by myself. If yes, could you please help me with the contacts (if any).

I am confused please guide!

Thanks.

Thank you doctor_kale. I have decided not to hire any consultant.

I have started the WES assessment. I would be the primary applicant..

I have one clarification: Will it be of any use if my spouse also gets WES assessed, she being a PG holder.

Quick question:

My highest degree marks card does not have my initials expanded. However my Passport has my full name. Will this cause any issue while applying for ECA as my transcripts would not have my initials expanded?

Thanks.

I was enrolled in graduate program from July 2009 - June 2012. It was distance learning (Correspondence). I started working in a company in Aug 2011. I worked there for 3 Years full time. Aug 2011 to Oct 2014.

My experience letter states the same.

How should i show the experience in my Work experience.

Should i say i started working there from July 2012, as it counts after graduation even though my experience letter would say Aug 2011.

Any guidance would be great. thanks!!

Hi Everyone

I just got my ITA on 12th and currently preparing for arranging my documents. I have a couple of questions which I hope to find answers of here.

1.First question is regarding PCC. I am originally from Jalandhar and am currently working and staying in Gurgaon. Unfortunately I dont have any solid proof of residence in Gurgaon. I might get difficult for me to get my PCC from here. I was hoping if I could get my PCC from my hometown(my Permanent Address in Profile) rather than my current location. Would that be fine? or would that create an issue? I appreciate any help I could get.

2. How do I convince my current employer to give me my Experience Letter, without having them knowing that I am applying for some country's PR? Couldn't I just show my current joining/appraisal letter? Your ideas are welcome.

3. I have a car Loan that still has 4 years left in maturity. How do I deal with this while showing my settlement funds? Do i need to factor in the Loan amount and show net worth of 12k in CAD.

Thanks in Advance everyone.

Hello Experts I got the Ita on March 01 and i have everything ready to submit . NOW MY Current employer is going to change as I am expecting another offer next week.
Is it OK to update the form with the new employer?
I will only be able to submit the offer letter from the new employer.
There will not be enough time for me to get even one Payslip or even roles /responsibility letter.
In such cases what is the best course of action?
Should I just ignore the Potential new employer?

Hi Azeemq

It is better to submit the PR application asap. Do not wait for another letter from the new employer. Anyway you will receive the letter next week, so technically you are still with previous employer.

cheers,

Hi Lohit,

If you have included your spouse in your application and want to claim points for her education, get her WES as well....

cheers,

I am also an aspirant for Canadian PR and have cleared my IELTS exam. But am stuck with the roles and responsibility document as the HR of my company has clearly stated that she wont be able to provide me with the same on a company letter head. Can anyone in the forum advise me on any work around with it or if anyone else who has also faced similar problem provide guidance ?

Note: I am working for TCS currently.
