Hi,

I am trying to apply PCC from BLS india.

1: In the form there is a question " Have you visited / stayed in India after acquisition of landed status/ foreign"

I am on a Work permit here and have visited India twice since 2012, should I say yes? or No because I am not PR or Foreign?

2: For Address where stayed some members here suggested that I should use my current address ( my parent are still there ) where I lived from 2006, but the address on my passport is different than the current address, should I mention both addresses.

3: How long does it take in BLS office to get the passport photo for the PCC application. I dont have passport size photos and I am thinking I will go there and get from their office.

Sorry, for long post.

Thanks.

1.Ideally you should mention as Yes...as u have visited India couple of times after acquiring foreign status.
2. Mention the address which is in your passport.
3. If you are going during weekend(Saturday) make sure your reach early (around 7 AM) as usually it is crowded during weekends.

Note: If you still have confusion while filling the form u can fill in front of the officer while submitting the application. He/she will help you out

Hope this helps. Good luck

1. You should say yes
2. you can mention address which is on passport
3. you can get photo in any BLS center and it costs 15 dollar and I suggest to get it done at BLS center because sometimes they may not accept your photo taken outside. It will not take much time there, means you can get in done while waiting for you turn

I suggest to visit BLS center Toronto not the Bramton one as Bramton is always over crowded . It is better to visit early morning or around 12 o clock. I always visit around 12 o clock and it takes 1 hour to get job done

Thanks, about #2: I left that address in 2006, So I am not sure I can give that as my current address. Is there a reason you suggest to use the old address.

I would suggest to skip BLS and go directly to the Indian Embassy. The embassy can give it to you on the same day and charge you 100 CAD.

I did the same.

Thank you,

I checked the Indian consulate website and it appears that they ask you to mail the application to Brampton BLS service. Did you do that?

Place of Birth: I was born in a village and my passport just shows the village and not the city and state, what should I write on the form?
