No, I sent photocopies. I called BLS and asked them to schedule the pick and drop from Purolator. They'll send you links to make payments for the courier (one for sending the package and one for them to drop it off to us)

You have to send photocopies of all stamped pages of the passport. This is a hassle but cant help it :(

We just need a draft for $44.40
Thanks a ton, appreciate your revert.

If anyone trying for PCC who didn't start via BLS consider sending directly to Indian Consulate via Canada post(92$). I send the docs to the consulate directly on April 22 and Got back my PCC by April 28.

Note: I am not sure about the current condition of the consulate whether they are taking applications like this or not. But I got PCC as the timeline i mentioned above. Please verify it with others also.

I went to Indian Consulate on April 22 without knowing the consulate is closed. But fortunately, I found some people who are in my situation on the ground floor of the same building. Those people told me there is another option by sending via Canadapost. There is a convenience store below the Indian consulate near to no-frills I remember( provided Gmap link below). Either you can bring all the documents( Copies) as per Indian consulate directions(provided below) or you can bring all originals there and take copies from the convenience store. If you take copies from them they will guide you because they are getting paid. If you have all the documents ready to send, tell the convenience store people, you need to send PCC to Indian consulate, They gonna give a money draft(92$), 2 Envelopes ( 1 to send to the consulate and others to send back PCC to you). Fill the details like from and to in the envelope you are sending. Put all the documents in the bigger envelope, including money draft and 2nd envelope. Finally, they gonna give 2 tracking numbers. Using 1st tracking number you will know whether docs reached there and 2nd tracking number will be active when they send back PCC to you. For me, the envelope reached consulate the next day I send and got back PCC in a week.

Documents Required ( Only Copies Required)

I. Requirements to submit an application at the Consulate General of India, Toronto:

  • -Fill in the application form-https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/.
  • -Original passport of the applicant.
  • -Current Indian passport with a copy of legal status in Canada ( PR Card/Work Permit/Student Permit/ Visitor Record etc.) or Canadian passport in original and photocopy.
  • Note: For PR card issued without the category on the back, please submit the original and photocopy of the PR card and landing paper.
  • -A copy of the first and last page of the current passport.
  • -A copy of the landing paper.
  • -A copy of proof of address (copy of the driving license or any other government-issued address proof).
  • A fee of C$92/- can be paid through debit card/bank draft/money order (drawn in favor of " Consulate General of India")
Convenience Store Name: DUPL2X Business Services.
Thanks, this is very helpful.
Hi everyone,

Has anyone followed above recently? Did it worked for a faster PCC?

Thanks,

Has anybody tried calling CGI? I am calling them since morning and nobody is answering the call.

Also, Police Verification back home was done on August 4. The status on PSK website is "PCC needs to collected from the Regional Passport Office". I am not sure when was this status was set but I am wondering how many more days does it take for it to change?

I am really anxious now :(

I submitted grievance ticket regarding my PCC application. It is been two months since i applied to PCC. My status is `PCC application is under review at PSK` after police verification done o July 29. The response i got from the ticket is as follows:
"Due to inquiry officers' DSC lapsed, PVR could not been uploaded. You may ask your inquiry officer to send the Police verification reports through email and as well as physically for further process."
What I should be doing now? Is there any other way i can do to make things quick? Please help me!

Looking at the current situation
I must expect the Pcc to be In my Hand by Oct 1 right ?

I am in Ontario ..Need to upload the Docs ..to get the AOR. Since have to Apply for BWOP since Work permit is expiring on Feb /2021

Any suggestions

I am new to this
Hi,

If your work permit expires in Feb 2021, would you still be able to claim the points for "valid job offer", as it has a condition that the job offer must be valid for 1 year, please revert, I am almost in same situation.

Hey all,

Did anyone tried applying for Indian PCC now? The Consulate and BLS is not accepting walk-in applications and they accept only via postal. But the procedures mentioned in the website are not clear. Did anyone apply through postal? Help pls.

Hi Folks,
Did any one face same issue , adverse report from Police Station since residing in foregin country
I am in a similar situation. I contacted the police station and talked to the officer who visited my home. He mentioned that he sent adverse report saying that nobody lives on that address after confirming from our neighbours that we stayed there an year ago. I sent few emails to the RPO and consulate general describing my situation. There was no response from them. However, I could see that the status on the website shows that PCC has been granted today and sent to my address. I am not sure whether PCC that they have granted will carry any negative remark. I will update you as soon as I get positive PCC.
