Can I accept an ITA without the PCC? I think the PCC will not get cleared until the ITA submission time of 60 days?

Is there a way to submit the explanation ?

When I submit my online application, it suffixes the police station location to my permanent address in India. So when I print the application, the address does not match exactly what is in the passport. Is this normal?

Hi,

I'm a bit confused about my situation.

I was on vacation in India from February 16 to March 23, 2024 (returning to Toronto). While I was there, I updated my passport with a change in my name (both first and last names) and address. After receiving the new passport, I also obtained a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), which was delivered to me on March 22 (with a date of issue on the PCC of March 20).

Now that I've received an ITA(CEC) on April 12, 2024, can I use the recently obtained PCC from India, or do I need to apply for a new one through BLS?

Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

If your PCC have old name , you should submit a notarized affidavit and you can use same PCC .

but my wife's status is still showing as "PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate". Is there a way we can contact for updates?

Hello Everyone,

I submitted a PCC application at the Brampton BLS center on June 29. Now that I am tracking the application on BLS and the Government of India's website, I noticed that the wrong date of birth is being displayed.

I rechecked the PCC application form pdf and it has the correct Date of Birth.

I called BLS and all they have to say is "That is just for tracking purposes".

Will it cause problems? I am starting to worry now.
hey, same thing happenede to me too. did everything turn out to be ok for you or do I have to wrry or do something sbout this.
thank you in advance

Hi Guys,

I got an ITA on 11th April 2024 and I went for PCC walk-in application the very next morning on 12th April, 2024.
Looking at some of the articles online, I am really worried I might miss the 60 days timeline that we get to submit all the documents.
Are there any other things that we can do to expedite or literally do anything to not let that happen?

Hello Everybody,

Can I obtain a Police Clearance Certificate for PR in India using a different address, like my neighbor or in-laws', since my parents have been out of the country for a year? Additionally, although I recently married in Canada, my marriage is not registered in India nor reflected on my passport address.

Thanks

Hi, anyone who submitted a PCC recently? I did mine on 19th April at the Mississuaga BLS but no change in status so far. It says under review at the Consulate. Wondering if this is usual.

Posting my timeline with BLS Brampton:

March 29: Sent my application to BLS Brampton with Purolator
April 3: Read in Facebook Groups that BLS is sending back all the applications back from March 15 because of a hike in processing fee (it applies to PCC as well)
April 4: Realizing that my application will be sent back, I walked into BLS Brampton using their Premium Lounge service (additional 100$ just for the service).
Note: Did not go for their postal service again as Purolator fee was increased to 120$+ and I had to leave the country on April 5 for three weeks.
April 5: Application status changed from received to in transit to Consulate General on BLS Canada website.
April 7: Application received at Consulate General
April 8: Application under review at Consulate General
April 20: Police Verification has been initiated and a request has been sent to Indian Embassy/Consulate- Received an email confirmation as well.
April 29: Police officer called the local mobile number back in India and also went to the address on file for verification.
April 29: Police verification is clear and PCC is available for issuance.
May 1: (late at 11:30 PM EST): Emailed the Consulate General of Toronto asking to expedite the request as I have already received the ITA. Email ID: (pcc.toronto@mea.gov.in)
May 2 at 9:30 AM: Received a reply back from CGI saying that the PCC has been printed and handed over to BLS for dispatch. Status also got updated in CGI's website- Police Clearance Certificate has been printed.
May 3: Waiting for further updates, but I am hoping to pick it up by early next week.

Thanks!

Just a suggestion: Don't go for the postal application, the charges for postal application are more than 120+, instead of that, choose BLS Canada's Premium Lounge service for 100$ and get it done in the early hours itself if you are unable to find regular appointment dates. With postal application, there's also the risk of the application coming back to you if there are any mistakes. Use postal application only if you don't have an emergency :)

Thank you for the update.

My application still says "Police Verification has been initiated and a request has been sent to Indian Embassy/Consulate" as of May 3rd. But a police officer came to my home on April 25th and checked everything. Interestingly, my friend has the same issue.

2024-04-04 I went to BLS Brampton using their Premium Lounge service and submitted my PCC.
