All this scary stories on this forum make me angry. Seriously don't this ppl get that lot of ppl file depend on proper service, it is not like they are working free.

This type of services are reason that lot of ppl wants to leave India. Honestly, don't this ppl learn anything from Western world how to provide services. I think we Indian are lazy, like just look how it being done, they make you run around just for simple thing as PCC.

You go to airport hardly any employee smile, in fact officers try to hold you back to extort you. No one I have met in India that would go extra mile to provide good service. If you are from abroad they will try best to keep you in Hospital to make more money. Just disgusting.

I know I am going to get criticized here for what I said here but it true. We leave India bec services we receive, go to hospital, we stay in line unless u got money, you got passport office, they make you fill out bunch of forms that are not even necessary. They return your application Bec you wrote reason for asking PCC "pr card", seriously 1st there is no instructions or guidelines and when we do something according to our understanding, we get screw.

Sorry for venting but India is one of hub for IT but yet we still fill forms by pen instead making fillable forms online.

Just so mad, feel like suing this ppl.

Hi I got a response from local police saying they can't sign my report because they are unable to download/go to second page of my application and they asked me to contact consolate general or bls to send the secone page. any one else having or had same problem?
 
Now the tracking is enabled on website 'https://portal4.passportindia.gov.in/Online/secure/loginAction'. However, the status shows 'PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate.' Not sure what this means. Police already visited my home in India and completed the verification. We followed up with Police and they said the file has been cleared and forwarded to the concerned authorities. Not sure what the current status is.

I guess many of them are in the same page and not sure what is the further step. or we have to wait until someones status change. Did anyone received the further status please let me know and thank you.

Mine says print initiated. Thats the next stage
 
Hi,

My PCC application status got updated from 'PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate.' to 'PCC application has been granted. Once the police verification is received, PCC will be issued' and then to 'PCC has been printed' yesterday evening. I had applied on 5th August and police verification was done on 31st August.

Thanks to all the members of this group. All the comments were really helpful.

Hi All. Can anyone who has been recently to BLS Brampton please answer a few things for me? I am planning to initiate the PCC process this week as i will be applying for PR at month end.

1. Is the photo booth at BLS Brampton open? I am planning to get my photo clicked there instead of going to walmart for it.
2. For PCC for PR, will they be keeping my passport with them for the entire duration (till i get my PCC) or will they return it immedeatly? I know earlier they used to keep it but heard that recently they are returning back the passport?
3. In the PCC form for indian phone number, can i provide the number of my brother in law? I don't have a active indian phone number with me here.
4. Lastly, is it a good idea to get the PCC process initiated before applying for PR?

you can but it’s validity is for 6 months.
