It is really a positive sign in your application. As your application was picked up by a visa officer and now from my point of view it’s about to finalize. As per my experience now when they will start issuing DM and PPR you could be just one of them(the same thing happened in 2018) as well.

Just a query !!
They will start issuing PPRs here means they will sent PPRs in bulk???
You also mentioned about last year's trend just wanna know that do they usually send batches of PPRs???

I received my Passport request today . Below is time line

AOR 2nd May 2018
Remedical 2nd April
PPR -11th April
( Just for members to know my file was transferred from Canada office to NDVO office in March 2019) from there it picked up pace
Another point My background check was started at the same day i received my re medical request

Wish you all good luck and speedy PPR

Now i have one question .. I have valid canada visit (tourist visa ) do i have to still submit my passport ? What happens after you submit your passport ? Do they simply give visit visa or some special visa because if only visit visa then i already have it ? what should be done here

Congratulations !

They will give you a new single entry "Permanent Resident Visa".All your previous Canadian Visa will be cancelled except the new one.

Yes !!!
But sorry i don't have timeline and this news was informed to me by my agent.
Applicants are from Nepal and VO is Newdelhi and they passed their medical in may 2018.
They were sent PPR on early April according to my agent.
