Independent Contractor as a student

Hello Everyone,

I have a question, am allowed to work 20 hours as a international student, however I have received a independent contractor offer from a company which will issue T4A and the end of the year.. can I work as a contractor being a student is it not allowed ? Will it be consider as part time or ?

Does your study permit say that you can work off campus? If so you can work up to 20 hours per week.

Yes my study permit says I can work 20 hours per week.
Does T4A reports hours worked ? Or how do I prove that I worked only 20 hours or less

T4 is given at the End of the calendar year to file your taxes. Employers have to issue you a T4. Paystubs will show how many hours you work. Not sure what T4 has to do with working 20 hours per week.
