I think I will match the old job since the new job is merely an acquisition.

NOC: 2173
My old job duties (new job duties would be similar):

- Maintain existing code base in current projects
- Develop new system components in different projects
- Conduct deployment and maintenance releases for hosted projects
- Perform analysis on system performance, processes, etc.
This is what I found online:

Software engineers and designers perform some or all of the following duties:

Collect and document users' requirements and develop logical and physical specifications
Research, evaluate and synthesize technical information to design, develop and test computer-based systems
Develop data, process and network models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs
Plan, design and co-ordinate the development, installation, integration and operation of computer-based systems
Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade and develop maintenance procedures for operating systems, communications environments and applications software
May lead and co-ordinate teams of information systems professionals in the development of software and integrated information systems, process control software and other embedded software control systems.

Consider just adding more details and explanation as for your job duties. Elaborate, elaborate, elaborate.

I see your case now, if I were you, I would try getting an updated employment reference letter and raise a CSE ASAP, try adding job duties that is the most consistent, and if possible mention the right NOC code on your letter. Write an explanation letter regarding your company's aquisition, job title's change but job duty remains the same, also mention you saw the red flag on your GCMS notes.
There's someone who ran into similar situations like you just a couple of months ago, and she avoided it completely by sending in additional documents and enough explanations. I think she already got her PPR.

Guys, if Someone was advised to choose a particular noc by the noc team, can he feel safe in regards with that? Initially had chosen different code for the EE application, but later got adviced another noc codes matching my occupation better by the team, and changed those.

After seeing this post it seems like the Agent/Case Analyst/Immigration Officer who reviews your application will have a particular NOC in mind and if your letter does not agree with what they think your job description should be then they reject you. This is unfortunate, I feel this should come (if at all) in the first 1-2 months.

I wouldn't say it's 100% safe, both of my immigration lawyers told me they all had clients' PR cases refused before because of wrong noc codes even they're all verified by the noc team. After all they're not the team that assess our job duties, it's visa officers from IRCC does the job.
I think what they say make some senses, and maybe up to 90% of the time they're correct, but I wouldn't trust them blindly on everything they say. We still have to match the job duties with what's on the NOC website and see if majority of them are consistent.

It was Dec 18th. In the note it says Application Due Date is June 18th. Not sure if this will affect.

Also anyone knows if I get rejected, do I need to apply for a new PNP (Human Capital Stream)? Because in my nomination it actually has my EE application number

Not before it's expired.
Your PNP certificate will stay valid until its expire date, and is eligible for transferring between different express entry profiles however in order to do so, you need to notify OINP office regarding this transfer between profiles and the reasons why you want to do so.
However if your rejection comes after it's expired, I actually don't know if it is still eligible for transfer, or you have to get a new one completely.

I haven't seen anyone try it yet, but OINP can extend the nomination for up to 30 days from the date of the original expiration date.

Other PNPs have different rules, it's generally 30 days, but I recall reading SK can extend theirs for up to 60 additional days for funds accumulation.

Oh that's something I've never heard of, do you have any official source confirming this?

Action Taken:

1. Raised a CSE and submitted a new Letter of Reference of Employment
2. Sent an email to ontarioimmigration for extending PNP

No response as of yet. Let's see how it goes.

I am planning to raise another CSE in a month if no response
