Incomplete travel history

Hi guys. I've had a good look through and I haven't yet found a thread which will help me, so I'm posting a new one.

I'm just filling in my express entry application and have a problem with the travel section. I've included all the international travel I've done in the last 10 years, even the day trips across the border to the USA I've made since being in Canada. The problem is there's one trip to Spain I took 7 years ago that I simply cannot remember the dates for. The stamp is on my previous passport, so that's no help. I accompanied an ex as a volunteer when she took one of her service users to Spain to visit his brother for a week. She doesn't remember the dates either, but might be able to find the ticket stubs from the flights. She no longer works for that company, which I think is no longer in existence.

So my question is this :- how much could it affect my application if I either enter incorrect travel dates or leave it off altogether? I don't want my application to be refused or delayed, but I also don't want to delay it myself worrying needlessly.

Thank you for any help :)

I think you're over-worrying. CIC doesn't expect you to recall every single travel you'd made in the past 10 years. I think they appreciate that sometimes this will be as good as the memory serves. My advice would be to put what you remember and only if you want to be extra extra careful write in an LOE a few words about this travel.

That's pretty much what I figured, but it's always good to have a second opinion. I think the best thing would be to put in approximate dates and add an LOE rather than miss it off altogether.

Tbh, if you can't remember the trip, there's no way CIC will know especially because it was in Europe. (Only USA shares information with Canada)

In my opinion, you would be fine if you left it completely except if you want to include it for peace of mind.

I'm just an advocate for making an application as simple as possible and I think that LOE would make the application a bit complicated.
