Hi all,

while creating my EE profile I mentioned two years of Canadian work experience. I got an ITA.

I did full time employment in Canada for about 16-17 months. And then I moved to US however I used to travel to Canada almost every week for next 9-10 months for work (customer was still in Canada). During the time when I was travelling to Canada every week I was a US employee and getting paid in US.

I do have files taxes in Canada for 2 years and have valid T4 (notice of assessment from CRA).

Please suggest what should I do. Should I decline ITA at this time and correct the profile?

decline the invite
In my opinion, you dont wana get banned for 5 years

I'd rather have a lower score and work on increasing it than get banned for 5 years

Thanks!

So the T4 and CRA notice of assessment is not good enough to prove the experience.

If some how I can get a experience letter from my employer/colleague, will it help.

Since I was going in and out of canada enery week I am worried more. Because If I count total number of days I spent in Canada it is below 2X365.

Also I have canadian pay slips only for 17 months.

You simply don't have two full years of Canadian work experience, no matter how you spin it.

If you change your profile and recalculate your points, are you still above the cut off for your draw? If so, continue. If not, decline and amend your EE profile and wait for the next draw.
