Incomplete application (April 2020)

I had my application package returned to me a few days ago because my photographs weren't stamped and dated (yes, I'm kicking myself).

The cover letter says my application was considered incomplete, not processed and no fees taken and that the application and proof of payment have been returned.

I don't understand - it seems a contradiction to me. I paid by credit card in April and the fees were taken then. I have not had a refund. Do I assume that payment WAS taken and just send the original proof of payment back again?

Also, does this mean I'm now a September applicant?

Hi.
You need to update citizenship form, print updated version of the form and send new application.
Also you will sent the proof of payment that was returned to you with your application. When they sure that your application is completted, they will take your payment.
And yes, you will be a September applicant if you send you application in September.

Yes, use the same payment receipt which you attached with your original application.

It would be more correct to say: When they sure that your application is completed, they will activate your payment (Receipt IMM5401) for your application
