Hi,

I am a permeant resident and have a regular job in Canada. Now, I would like to sponsor my spouse and two dependent childrent. Is there any minimum income requirement for sponsoring them? If so, how would would it be for a family size of four members (including the sponsor) in Ontario province? Do I need to provide any support documents confirming my financial details, apart from the Letter from my employer?

Thanks,

Parry

There is no income requirement for sponsoring spouses, common-law and conjugal partners. It applies to dependent children as well. One of the forms that you have to fill will contain question regarding to your current employment and you have to send your Option C printout from previous year`s taxes along with your application.

Hi Ditta,

Thank you very much for your help :) I've been here in Canada for four months and therefore do not have submitted any taxes. In this context, is it enough if I submit my employment letter or Do I need to submit the bankstatement and/or payslips as well.

Please clarify.

Thanks a bunch!

Parry
