Hi All,

I am on my PGWP now and have 1 year of work experience. I have my husband here with me under OwP. I just learned that my score will be much higher if I do not include him in the PR application. Can I legally do that that I would declare him not accompanying even though he is here in Canada under OWP? He also dislikes taking IELTS/CELPIP after years of requests. It is really frustrating. Appreciate your advice. Thank you!

The most important thing is declaring him. Failure to do so would mean that you could NEVER sponsor him via a Spousal Sponsorship, PLUS...your own PR application would be at risk because of misrepresentation.

I suspect that you should in fact declare him as non-accompanying, but wait for a few others to confirm or dispute my suggestion.

This was recently discussed here(also includes the POV of Legalfalcon here too): https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...o-accompanying-after-ppr.570133/post-10572790
