I am planning to fill in my PR application under CEC category and my work permit holds good till Dec 2011.

I was married recently and my spouse (not working) is staying with me in Canada on visitor status.

1. I being a principal applicant, Can i include my spouse name in PR application.
2. Is it mandatory to include spouse if staying in canada to include in PR application.
3. What is the fee i need to pay if i include spouse in PR application.

Thank you guys...

hi, yes you can include your spouse in your PR application. and it is not mandatory to include your spouse in your application, but you will lose your eligibility to sponsor your spouse in the future. the fee for PR application to both of you will be x2. it means, $550 for you plus $550 your spouse.

Thanks for the quick response hbic.

Will loose the eligibilty to sponsor spouse later means???? can i never apply for PR to my spouse if i dont include in the PR application now.

Where can i get the information on What all documents of spouse are required to include my spouse in PR application

This information is in the application instructions and in the document checklist, both available from the CIC website:

it means, you can't sponsor your spouse anymore in the future. your spouse has to apply his/her own PR application. so it would be better to include your spouse now. here is the link for more information regarding spouse... check at the bottom of the page... "relationships that are not eligible"
