1. I have 9 immigration photos of myself. Since there was a box to attach a photo, I attached one of them. Now I read on this forum that I should not have attached anything. (If so, then WHY is there a box?) What is the recommended course of action? I used double-sided tape to stick it and am not sure how well the photo will come off.

2. Wedding/proof of relationship photos: How do people usually send these? Should I have one large envelope that has all of my "proof" documents and just have the photos in that envelope, too?

I'm trying to get everything right the first time!

1. I don't know if it's a problem that one of the pictures is already attached. It wasn't supposed to be attached yet, according to the guide. You might want to call CIC call center to see if it's a problem. Give it a try to get the picture off, usually it's not a problem (depending on your tape).

2. I personally put a selection of photos in a Word document with some explinations, went to a copyshop and printed it (we don't have a colour printer at home). Not on fancy paper, not to fancy quality. Pictures should be an aid to prove that the sponsor and applicant have been together in a relationship, it's not a photographer's portfolio for a potential client. The document with the pictures I just stapled together and put it in the same envelope as the application.
As you might have read in the guide: do not send original pictures, because they won't return them!

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. I did end up pulling the photo off of the page (thereby tearing a nice hole) and then rewriting that page of the application. I'd rather rewrite a page now, then deal with minor hassles later.

Cheers!
