Hello ,

I am from Pakistan and I have got the admission in Canadian university for MSc program. I'll be applying for student visa in next couple of days but the major problem that is bothering me is bank statement. Actually my father is sponsoring me and he is a businessman and now he has sufficient funds about 35 lacs in his savings account for my studies. But the problem is my father invested that money in business about one and a half month ago and as I have to show the bank statement for the last 4 months so how to fill that gap?

Actual scenario for my father's bank statement is given below:

Jan 2012.................. 35 lacs
Feb 2012..................35 lacs
March 2012...............35 lacs
April 10, 2012.............35lacs
April11, 2012.............2 lacs ( My father invested 33 lacs in business so the remaining amount was 2 lacs from 11 april to 20 may in the bank )

21 May till date ..........35 lacs again

Experts, seniors, Inam please suggest me help me what should I do? How this gap be covered from 11 april to 20 may? Should my father make any affidavit stating that he invested this money in business from 11 april to 20 may and now again he has sufficient funds for my studies and this money is reserved only for my studies and we wont use this money in our business again.

Please help me I am in big trouble

By the way my overall profile is very good.

Hey Kewl buddy, which uni are you going to?

Well indeed it is a negative thing which occurred in your bank statement.
1. First meet your bank manager and ask him if it is possible to skip the transactions done in the month of April and May?
2. Is this money in your account or in your fathers account?
3. An affidavit is required but it won't solve the question in the mind of VO. You have to show the proof that this money is invested in the buisness.
4. You also have to prove that you don't require this money for future business.

If this money is in the account of your father then transfer it to your account via a cheque and attach the bank statement of your father and your account. Write an affidavit of sponsorship from your father's side. and things will be okay. you father should show that I have this money which i have transfered to my son for his studies. I don't need it for business anymore.

well certainly this amount is not for you. coz your father has used it. if you say these are funds for my studies then why your father has put that money some where else. show some other account of your father having 3 million rupees and then keep these three million intact till you got visa. dont show anything about this account to CHC

@Inam

Thank you so much dude for your response. Well, I have got the admission in University of Alberta.

1. Okay I'll meet the manager tomorrow and discuss on this issue but I don't think so he'll be agreed to skip the transactions.
2. This money is in my father's account.

Dear Inam what do you think will this work? Should I go for this option the last one you stated that (If this money is in the account of your father then transfer it to your account via a cheque and attach the bank statement of your father and your account. Write an affidavit of sponsorship from your father's side. and things will be okay. you father should show that I have this money which i have transfered to my son for his studies. I don't need it for business anymore.

I have no idea what should I do please give me your sincere advice.

Moreover, if my father transfers money in my account via a cheque then what about my bank statement it also won't show the stability like my father's account of last 4 months. What do you say is it better to keep the money in my father's account and get the bank statement or my father should transfer his money in my account and get the bank statement from my account? Then what about the stability of my account for last 4 months or it won't be a problem anymore?

1. Transfer the money to you account via a cheque, Attach the photocopy of this cheque with your application package. Attach the your bank statement as well as your fathers banks statement. Take Letter of sponsorship / affidavit from your father. Show buisness as source of income, attach Income Tax returns and NTN.
2. My friend did similar thing and he got visa.

P.S. keep things real, VO deals with hundreds of application packages routinely and will easily distinguish a genuine case from a fake one.

Which program are you joining?
Best of luck

meet the bank manager first if that previous option is possible. I think banks also provide statement by month basis.

You are 3rd Pakistani on this forum who is going for MSc internetworking to uAlberta.

Yes I'll definitely go to the bank first and meet the manager regarding this issue then I'll decide what to do next.

I do know the other two guys who are going for Msc in Internetworking from Paksitan.

@Inam

I went to the bank and ask the manager about skipping the transactions but he was not convinced.

So, I am going with your second option i-e. to transfer money from my father's account into my account.

Any advice or any suggestions regarding this.

Thanks :)

You have to show that this money is not required for business and your father is sponsoring you.
It is advised that this money should be available to you in reality as you would need it for your studies. Otherwise things will be difficult for you.
