And yes working in customer service was a part of the program. A lot of ppl got their WPs with our school's name on it. So I wasn't the only one. The problem was I didn't think I would go to college and decide to become a PR at some point.

Oh yes. Its nothing illegal as far as i know.

It has your College name and in the remarks section it says that AUTHORIZED TO UNDERTAKE EMPLOYMENT WHICH FORMS INTEGRAL PART OF STUDIES..

I also worked on that work permit, on full time basis after i finished my courses in the class room. So 3 months of internship on that work permit. And once those 3 months were done, i was employed full time by the firm and continued to work on that WP till i got my PGWP. So its nothing illegal about working for an employer other than your college (even though college name is printed as EMPLOYER on WP). If you are still worried, just email that initial college where you did that english course, as a NEW prospect student, and ask them if you can work when you will come to canada on this English program. Ask them if it would be legal for you to work while studying - and they will elaborate.

And if you are still not sure - (by the way ..then you will be in paranoid group:))...you can always double check with a lawyer. Its good to spend $250 in the beginning than loose $550. Though, there is no need for this option. Its your call.

All the best.

Thank you very much. But like I described in the very first post under conditions it said I couldn't work for anybody else other than... Wair I will just rewrite what it says word for word.

travel doc: passport
bonded: no
employer: my school
occupation: open ea
emp location: unknown
fee statues: some numbers
conditions:

1. not authorized to work for any employer other than stated.
2. must leave canada by...

REMARKS: AUTHORIZED TO UNDERTAKE EMPLOYMENT WHICH FORMS INTEGRAL PART OF STUDIES AS CETIFIED BY THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION. HOLDS A STUDY PERMIT VALID TO SAME DATE.

I remember that "not authorized" part scared the hell out of me back then. But my academic advisor said that remarks allow you to work in what is a part of your studies. Is it really so? Should I get a letter from them that they allowed me to work for my employers?

Dude...I also have exactly the same WP. And every student who has some work experience component in their program - gets that WP. Its no mistake from any visa officer. It allows you to work anywhere, but your college is mentioned as the employer because this WP is issued to satisfy the requirements of the program - as prescribed by that college. Hence, that college is mentioned as your employer.

Nothing to worry about.

Jekad, I read your post several times before replying.
We've been saying the same as infoseeker. nothing to worry about.
We are not lawyers or professionals, just trying to help. In case of any doubt and to make sure, always good idea to call immigration to verify

I know I thought about that too, but I was looking for someone like me to say that I am not the only one.
I was afraid to call CIC cuz they would ask me my personal info and if I did screw up I was afraid of being flagged. That is why I resorted to this forum. Thank you very much for your patience though. I really appreciate it!
