One of the most common reason on why applicants are considered inadmissible is:HELP! Agreed with Bryanna. You need to forget about Canada for the next five years. You've been banned for misrepresenting information in your application. This seems to happen most often when people don't answer truthfully to the question about whether they have been previously refused or asked or refused entry into Canada or any other country. Please turn off Caps Lock when you reply.
Sorry to know this. It's most unfortunate that you've been banned for 5-years for misrepresentation. Unfortunately again, there's nothing you can do. Any visa applications you submit, including PR, will be refused until the 5-years ban is over

Yes - you certainly can. If asked, you will need to make sure you declare the Canadian visa refusal. Canada and the US share information. But can I apply for a USA visitor visa now?
Is it took 6 months for your refusal?HELP! I APPLIED FOR A VISITOR VISA TO CANADA JULY 2017 VIA AN AGENT AND NOW I RECEIVED A LETTER THAT I HAVE BEEN FOUND INADMISSIBLE TO CANADA IN ACCORDANCE WITH PARAGRAPH 40(1)(a) OF THE IRPA. PLEASE WHAT IS THE NEXT MOST IMPORTANT STEP TO TAKE?
It can take that long to investigate the application, depending on how responsive third party sources are. IRCC also likes to make sure that the case they develop is pretty much "air tight" before they find for misrepresentation. They don't want things coming back at them and ending up in the courts. That gets costly and can result in unwanted/unwarranted changes to the system. Is it took 6 months for your refusal?
