Hi guys,

I'm in the process of getting a permanent resident through BCPNP. I received the invitation to apply a 2 weeks. There is a opportunity to be transferred to USA which I think I really would like to go. However, I don't want to lose the opportunity to get the permanent resident and also the citizenship in 3 years.

If I go to USA I want to have a chance to get the green card over there.

*I'm living in Canada for almost 2 years.
I'm from Brazil.

Any help and suggestions?

Keeping both a GC and meeting Residency obligation for your PR can be a daunting task. Think you may just have to choose one or the other.

What country is your place of birth. If it is India, I would suggest staying put in Canada as the wait time for green card for folks born in India is decades.

You will be fine if you move to the US and your company starts your Green Card processing right away. That is the key here, 'Getting Green Card processing' started right away. The reason I say that is it takes about years to get the green card from the day the processing is started. There are various steps and that's why I mentioned 2 years from the start of processing.
