Does "In process" mean that the file was transferred to the local office?
This is what the CIC website says, but I read something else in one of the threads here!

NO

Search the forum. You will see lots of comments related to this topic.
I know the CIC website says that, but it's not entirely true or accurate. You can always call the CIC and check if your application has been transferred. They will provide you with a date.

Of course, this begs the question of why CIC continues to publish false information........

I wont say false information....the process is broken and overwhelmed....man power is an issue as well as no accountability unless its goes to the court.

Are they not are making false representations to applicants about the process?

don't get me wrong here...I am not picking sides....the reality is that they do not have a fair process flow to actually process this applications....the system is just clogged.....it does not matter what ur online status says and what that means....end of the day they also don't want to hold up ur file either.....call centre is not setup for detailed explanation of ur files either....I remember back in the day they never used to give any kind of information related to immi files in process only general information...now they do sometimes and I am an example which surprised me also.

we are all here good ppl and contributed enough in this society and want to be blessed by the citizenship.....but I do see rotten apples everywhere and for them we get this RQ and long delays which further complicate the situation for law abiding resident.

I understand that any system needs always people to criticize it positively and in the right way to reconcile/improve it.

The absence of the updated/right information gets one frustrated.

Does anyone know the citizenship average processing time for year 2012 applicants? What about 2013 applicants? I saw some have had their oaths!
