In Process: Background Check for 8 Months !!

Hello Everyone,

I would like to check if this is normal, I sent my medical exams by mid June 2012 followed by a letter asking for a copy of passports and prof of funds that have been sent by end of July 2012.

Since that there was no reply by London Visa Office.

I sent them a request on November 2012, they replied that my application is still in Background Check.

Please advise if this is normal to be under check for 8 months now?

yes normal, some even had them for 1.5 years

my case is like yours, i have done medicals mid June 2012 submitted to LVO but still no request for medicals
I guess we have to wait and wait

This is a normal feature of LVO , they can give you one time medical extension for 3 months or be prepared for another medical examination.

Oh I didn't know that they give an extension of 3 months. Its interesting to know!!!!!

I stayed in background check for more than 2 years before the medical,,,,,,now I do not know how long I have to wait more after medical. BUt anyhow 8 months is not a long time at all
