Hi,

I am Indian citizen living in UK since last 3 years. I am in the process of applying for a Canadian tourist visa as I am planning a 2 week trip in April to visit my Brother and Sister in Law. I was wondering if I can get some help regarding the visa for me and my wife:

I am planning to submit the following documents:

1) Fee payment receipt
2) 2 photographs
3) Old & New passports and BRP card proving my legal status in UK
4) 3 months bank statements
5) Employment reference letter
6) Copy of Marriage certificate from India
7) Invitation letter from my brother who holds a PR in canada
Cool Copy of my brother's passport, pr cards, rent agreement, bank statements, salary slips

Forms:
1) IMM 5257 for me and my wife
2) Family Information - (IMM 5707) for me and my wife

Is there anything I am missing, or this should be enough to get a visitor visa?

I am not sure if I should be submitting my return airline ticket. I have not booked the tickets yet and would prefer booking once I get my visa. I dont have a travel itenary as I am just going to be in Toronto on a family visit.

Thank you for all the help Smiley

Regards

Hi,

You must prove that you have reasons/ties to return to the UK. As you are an Indian citizen, you can also include your ties to India.

1. Employment: P60s + leave approval letter from your employer stating you'll have your job when you return + 4 months' banks statements showing salary transfers

2. Rent agreement + 2-3 months rent receipts for the house you're renting in the UK

3. 2-3 months' credit card statements

4. National Insurance/NHS

5. Evidence of financial investments in the UK and India

6. Any property/land ownership in the UK and India

7. Any dependent family members in the UK and India who will not accompany you?

You must prove that you can afford the airfare + expenses for you and your wife's visit. Also, prepare a day-by-day detailed itinerary with expense estimates for sightseeing, activities, etc

You can prepare a Travel History explanation of visits to other countries.... visa details + entry-exit dates + purpose of each visit.

You'll have to prepare similar evidence/demonstrate ties for your wife's application also.

It's not advisable to book plane tickets until you get a TRV
