My husband and I met on social media. We didn't put that together n the documents. We said we met in January 2015 when he came to Jamaica. He didn't return back until December 2016. We believe that was the reason we were called in for an interview. I am looking for a good reason to say as to why he didn't return back to Jamaica. He didn't return for 18 months and when he returned we got married. Would you kindly help me with this matter?

order your case notes which will have information on why the visa officer thinks your relationship is or is not genuine and reason for further review

To make sure we understand, are you saying that you stated in your application that you met in person January 2015 when you didn't actually meet in person until December 2016?

What did they ask you to bring to the interview? In my case they asked for a new completed Schedule A, Additional family information form, and proof of ongoing and genuine relationship. Perhaps that gives you a hint about what their concerns are and what questions they will ask you during the interview. What date is the interview?

He came for the first time January 2015? How long did he stay? And he came back December 2016? That's more than 18 months unless of course he stayed for a longer period of time in January 2015

Did you get your visa? What was your situation?

Did you get your visa? What was your situation?
Yes, I landed in Canada on March 10th this year. My situation wasn't very complicated, I believe we had a couple of red flags and then some questions the immigration officers had, like for example, why my English was so advanced despite never leaving the country.
