Dear All,
I have applied 7 months ago for spousal sponsorship visa, After marriage we were living in Pakistan however currently my wife is in Montreal and expecting to deliver a baby in July 2016. I need the information regarding following queries from the fellows of the group, kindly help me out.

Query # 1: In how many days Canadian passport is issued to a new born baby in Montreal Canada, so that the baby can travel to Pakistan with his mother who is a Canadian national too??

Query # 2: Currently I am in Pakistan, and my immigration file is just opened, however I do not know when my immigration would be finalized and I can travel to Canada. In this situation, can I apply for a visit visa for Canada to be present there at the time of delivery? If yes then what is the procedure for that?

Answers to these questions are very important for me. Please help me out. Thanks.

1) You can apply as soon as you have the long form birth certificate.

2) Yes - you can certainly apply for a visitor visa. There is of course no guarantee it will be approved. Instructions are here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.asp

In most countries, new born babies are not allowed to fly before they turn 3 months old. However I'm not sure about Canada. Maybe some seniors can advise
