Dear members and experts, Please shed some light on this.Hi guys Can anyone tell me what am I supposed to do if the company is not based in Canada, only in India. How can I make it legal that i am working for them... without having to hide anything?
My current employer has offered me a part-time position to work remotely from Canada. It’s a US-based company that has no presence in Canada, can I work for them as a part-time employee while I'm on a study permit? I will be signing a contract of 20hrs/week which is permissible for studentsNo problem! What I've been reading is that you just need to make sure to pay the Canadian taxes. Still need to figure out the process tho, as I will be moving to Canada on Fall to study there and want to keep my remote, US-based job.
Yes you can work as the employer is outside of Canada. My previous employer has offered me a part-time position to work remotely. Can I work for an Indian company that has its branch in the US while I'm in Canada on a study permit?
will there be any legal implications? will this arrangement affect in any way as a student?
