In Canada on a pgwp which visa to apply for?

I’m currently in Toronto on a pgwp and I applied for a visitor visa on august 14th.
I saw the article saying applications prior to the 7th of September should be re submitted so my my questions are:

1) should I resubmit for visitor visa or a ETA?
2) if a visitor visa which portal the new or old one?
3) if it’s the new one I’ve filled out the questions butthe process is as if you aren’t in Canada how Do I fill it out since I’m in Canada already?

But some of the questions of why you need a visa doesn’t apply to me being already in Canada so how do I work around that?
