You are working in Canada on a temporary work permit and
your temporary work permit was exempted from the requirement of obtaining a labour market opinion of your job offer from HRSDC on the basis of an international agreement (e.g., NAFTA or GATS), a significant benefit to Canada (e.g., intra-company transfer) or public policy on Canada’s academic or economic competitiveness (e.g., post-graduate work);
you are currently working in that job;
the work permit was valid at the time you made your permanent resident visa application and at the time the visa, if any, is issued; and
your employer made an offer to employ you on an indeterminate basis once the permanent resident visa is issued.

IS IT SUITED FOR POST GRAD STUDENT LIKE ME...???...."You must submit a letter from your employer indicating that you will be employed indeterminately upon receiving permanent resident status". DOES THIS OFFER LETTER will process my application faster? If I leave that compay and still that offr is there...will i still get residency?

Hi bigben,

If I am not wrong then you are a FSW2 category applicant. For you to get your PR, you have to remain employed with your current employer.

or

If you get another job under FSW2 (which means NOC not in MI list), you will have to inform your VO ASAP about the change of employer and the "Promise" from the employer that he would employ you PERMANENTLY once you receive your PR

It is mandatory to submit a letter of confirmation from your employer that - You will be employed once you get the PR. CIC will definitely check with your employer if the PROMISE for job is still available. If you leave the company the offer becomes redundant and invalid....and thus your PR application will fail.

Any kind of offer letter with a promise of job WILL NOT process your application faster.

I have a similar question as well. should the letter from my employer explicitly say i will be permanently employed upon receiving PR? Currently it just has my duties salary benefits etc so i am wondering if i should request a new one.

Yes. You may want to get a fresh letter with those words in the reference letter - chief3rd will be permanently employed upon receiving PR.

So, are you in AEO or FSW category? For AEO, your employer will have to provide all the valid documents for you.
