I'm somewhat confused about this process. My wife and I are looking to move back to Canada (I'm Canadian, she's American), and I'm trying to figure out the process for bringing our vehicles back. Hers seems pretty straightforward: she drives an '07 Ford Focus, so we need to deal with RIV, let US CBP and Census know 72hrs+ in advance, etc....
My car, however, is where the confusion is (on my part). I drive a '99 Jeep Cherokee Sport that is in really good condition (mechanical, and body). From what I can tell from calling the automated RIV phone number, because the jeep is over 15yrs old, it's exempt from having to file with them. But that's all the information that I can find. Aside from the title, and bill of sale (if I still have it), what else do I need? And do I still have to submit paperwork to the US CBP that includes ITN, the vehicle export fee, and copies of the title and bill of sale?
Any help at all would be appreciated.
