I have found information about importing a car from USA to Canada. I have a little different situation. We moved to USA (job transfer) from Canada in 2016. At that time I imported and registered by car in NY. Now, due to sudden health issues we are moving (via another job transfer) back to canada (Initially when moving to the US we did not have intentions of moving back for at least 5-7 years). Does the fact that I bought and paid taxes in Canada impact the cost to bring it back? Also, is the import process any different than if I bought a US car and import to canada?
