Important Question: When the points are evaluated??

Hi Guys,

I have an important question.. at what stage the points are evaluated.. does this happen when your file is transfered to certain visa office??? I applied through Buffalo.. so when the points are calculated??

Points are calculated when you send your initial application is send to CIO.
Once your application is approved you send it to local CHC and again your points are calculated.
So points calculation are done twice.

Nova Scotia office only see the immigration minister's guideline about NOC, 38 occupation list and job duties.
Visa office evaluate points after submission of documents.

irshad2005 I disagree with you that CIO calculate points.. I think the local visa office calculates the points only at a certain stage which I am asking about.

CIO checks only if you meet the Ministers rules nth more for 2 main reasons first they cant really calculate your points since you didnt provide them with any documents second.. even if you fall below the 67 points you could be accepted for immigration.. thats rarely happens but this the visa officer decides depending on the documents you provided.

At what stage exactly????? before receiving the AOR?? or when the file is transfered to local consulate?? or after receiving AOR directly??
