Important question about name on Outland spousal application!!

have a question please..... When we first sent in all our paperwork back in October we used one wrong form and had it sent back..... after two more tries they are processing everything now.... Schedule A in... medical
Passed .... my question is..... everything is in the name on my passport as they requested but I am using my married name for Social security and banking. Keeping old name on passport and credit cards and drivers license. I didn’t change name until well after application was last submitted and only because of the marital status had to be changed since I’m drawing social security retirement. Do I just wait and change name on or card once I get it or do I have to do it before.... don’t want any more hiccups!!

Your application has to match the name on your passport. If you want your PR card to have your new name, it will be MUCH easier for you to get a new passport now and amend your name on your application than it will be to wait and apply for a new PR card later.

Will changing my name on application now at this late date slow it down? It takes a while to get a new passport and they may ask for it in the meanwhile. That’s the next thing they are to do as far as I know. I use my old name and new name both but eventually will want to change over completely to my new married name. How much more difficult will it be to change it after I get my PR? Thanks!! I know it seems silly but I just do not want to risk slowing down my landing time.... our 1st Anniversary is in August and I do want to be with him by then. At 62 years old every day apart is like a year!!
