hy,
is it necessary to send original birth certificate to CIO or shld i just send the photocopy of it along with my application?
You need to send notarized photocopy of Birth certificate(not the original one)

regards,
Dr.Hasib

Thank you Coolguy and Dr.Hasib for making the things clear on documents to be notarized.
Regarding funds does it has to be one balance statement or balance sheet for last six months.
Any idea??
Appreciate your help.

Proof funds:
You shoud send a "Bank certificate" mentioning total amount of money in canadian dollar. sending 6 months bank statement is optional but very good idea since VO might ask for 6 months bank statement in later stage.

May be some one has replied this already, but please if you can guide me.

I am going to apply from Saudia as fedral skill worker. I need to ask you few questions.

Do I need to send forms to UK (London) or in CIO canada? (follow IMM 5612). My impression is to send CIO.
Do I need to follow check list from London also? (in addition to IMM 5612).

Thanks in advance.

Dear Asfaq,

Your initial application will be going to CIO and after your eligibilty (i.e Positive Eligibilty Review - PER), you will be co-ordinating with your Visa Office (which may be London or other Visa Office depends upon ur location).

You must send your all forms and docs required by both CIO and VO checklist directly to CIO, Canada. You must follow both CIO and VO checklist;failing to do so means complete rejection.

Hi seniors,

I got all my documents notarized long back.
I was about to send my documents soon.
The question is I got the public notary stamp (round seal) on my documents.
Below that seal it states my commission expires on Nov 12, 2010.
Can I still use those notarized documents to send to CIC, Canada now.

Thank you

You should notarize your docs again to be in safe side.

Thank you Dr.Hasib

Worried:I submitted my application few days back but am worried about a mistake which I just noticed in my fee payment form. I entered correct number of family members i.e. 1 but by mistake have typed $500 instead of $550 in the corresponding fee cell.
However in the total have put the correct figure i.e. $ 1100 and have send the BD of the same correct amount.
Now this typo is rattling in my head and would request you people to share your opinion about the severity of such mistake.
God is great so lets face the fact and share expert views of seniors to clear up some uncertainty.

Hi seniors/experts,

I went to the bank toady to get my documents notarized.
The bank said it is not the law of this state (in USA) to notarize photocopies.
The only thing they can do is they can put the notary stamp on my documents provided I write on each document "this is a certified and accurate copy" and I need to sign it in front of the notary.
The bank will then put the stamp as public notary.
Is it OK to send the documents like this.
Will the CIC accept this notary.

Thank you

Notarization would be done by a lawyer .. you should find a lawyer to notorized your documents :)
