I have already send my initial application to the CIO along with all the required documents...So could anyone tell me that how long i will have to wait???? Is it 3-4 months or less/more than that????

So far i know, there is no issue of AOR as per new process/change. Then how would i confirm that my application is under processing or not. Actually i'm bit confused about the processing time.

Is there anyone, who can advice me???

recall both the couriers and send them to CIO as one and correct one

if u do not recall couriers the VO office and CIO office may not care, they would keep lying for months before you get them back.

Hi Pippin,

Thanks for your valuable time and advice, If all goes well by God's grace then I hope to get settled in Toronto as my hubby is a Computer professional and hope he would have a better chance to get the job in Toronto.

By the way do you have any idea how long would it take the CIC to issue a file # ( my application was delivered to CIC on 5th Aug 2010)

Warm Regards
Bindu Jacob

Another NURSE, welcome Bindu! I believe your information is correct. You have the required minimum ONE YEAR as a nurse (on the SOL) and you have the rest of the maximum four years in an occupation which falls into a skill level of O,A or B, so it fully counts to make up your 21 points. Where do you hope to settle in Canada?

Hi Nursemich,

Yes I have submitted my IELTS (general module) as per the IMM 5612 checklist

Warm Regards
Bindu

may I ask if you have submitted a General Training result of IELTS?

Hi Bindu: No I don't know know long we will have to wait. My friend's app was recv'd 26 July, so we are all waiting and watching together. You will have no trouble finding nursing jobs and they always seem to be short of nursing instructors in Vancouver, if your husband doesn't find something in TO.

Mr. Ohcanadia
I have sent my application to CIO along with all the required documents as per new rules and which was as per website of Fedex was delivered to CIO on 18-8-2010.

But I have not received any response for delivery of my application to CIO by CIO even after passage of at least 14 days.
Is there any one who have submitted his application after 26-06-2010 and also have received any response for delivery of application from CIO.

Is there any other way to confirm that my application is under process in CIO.

I believe that is the question that most of us that submitted after June 26 would like to know.

Have patience my friend. It might take awhile before CIO sends an update if they have processed your papers or have returned them.

Thank you pun123, highly appreciate!

It is also likely that some of the NOCs will likely hit the maximum much sooner than others. I have summarised the submissions made so far, and while it may not have captured all applications mention in this forum, it does not come as a surprise that NOC 1122 has the most number of applications.

• 0631 (Restaurant Managers) – 1 application received by CIO (cforcanada);
• 1122 (Management Support) – 13 applications received by CIO (Iafaneh, joenash, Temasek, Coffee, Inexperienced, Canada121, Made711, CB, Faanni, avbbs, gulshan.akbar, immigrantapplicant, & Avi_15);
• 2121 (Biologist) – 3 applications received by CIO (Uncertain, Punjabi2121, & Rawdeal);
• 2151 (Architects) – 3 applications received by CIO (Doal, Nitroxn, Zint, & nzds05);
• 3111 (Specialist Physicians) – 2 applications received by CIO (talha10, & Shazad Tayab);
• 3112 (General Practitioners) – 3 applications received by CIO (noolan, drgladiator, & Blueray333);
• 3113 (Dentists) – 1 application received by CIO (molarius);
• 3131 (Pharmacists) – 6 applications received by CIO (apsa4ever, Dr Alex, Titisak, yoyojaap, Cappuccino, & Kevinca)
• 3142 (Physiotherapists) – 1 application received by CIO (Physiocraze);
• 3152 (Nurses) – 3 applications received by CIO (Bindu, Khai, & nursemich); and
• 7216 (Mechanical Trades) – 2 applications received by CIO (munna22, & ammaartahir).

While it is not representative of the total number of applications made to CIC, it nevertheless does give some indication of the extent of submissions that will be made in the various categories.

Hi Manshriram

I will try to clear your doubts.... Seniors - in case of any ambiguity, please do the needful... (thanks in advance) :D :D
1. Its' very sad (and bad too).. you can't put your parents name as dependents...even if THEY ARE dependents....and irrespective of whether you are married or not. However, you have to mention their names in 'Additional Family Information' Form IMM 5406.
2. The experience letter...here is nothing but the reference letters ...most of the things will be included in that...it has to be original... and remember it has to be from your current and past employers. As for the experience column (Sl# 11) in Schedule 3, you don't require a letter /certificate for that....but it has to correlate with your reference letters....at least for the years equivalent to the points that you are qualifying. They have not asked for the payslips particularly... but there is nothing wrong if you send them. :)
3. PCC (original or copy) is not required to be sent at the initial stage, i.e.to CIO. It has to be submitted at the later stage...that too to your local Visa Office. So..if your documents are complete in all aspects..please send it immediately, don't wait for the PCC.
4. You have to notarize all the documents (photocopy).... not each and every paper in a document set.... like that of an Indian passport .....it contains 18 x 2 pages :o . The only thing we can do is to include the term "Number of pages" when the Notary officer is attesting the document set.

Hope it helped you in some way.
Cheers, Anil

Hi Anil ,

Does this mean that we need to submit the PCC again to the Visa office even though we have submitted the PCC to CIC (Sydney) ?

Regards
Bindu
