To apply for under Skilled worker you must submit two checklists and their requested documents:

1-checklist for Centralize intake office (CIO)
http :/ /w ww.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5620E.pdf
item 11 asks to submit a Fee payment (550$ for one person)
2-checklist Appendix A of the Visa Office
h tt p://w ww.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37034.pdf
item 13 asks again to submit a fee for "the Right of Permanent Residence Fee" (when you click to the link you'll be directed to the embassy of canada in Rome which yo can find the cost of Right of Permanent Residence,it is 490$ )

as you know if you do not pay the fee your application will return to you .

my question is: should I really pay 550+490$ for immigration?
or
490$ is just for the time that you are accepted by CIO office?

You Only need to pay $550 at the time of application . But no need to send $490 the Right of Permanent Residence Fee . This will need to pay when your file get approved by CIO then your Visa post will ask you to pay at the time of Medicals.

Hope this is clear to you.

Regards,
Mayank

If you are unmarried then you need to pay 550 CAD only.
If you are married(accompanying spouse)then you need to pay 1100 (550+550) CAD
if you have 1 child then you need to pay 1250 (550+550+150) CAD

Hello Everybody,

I have an Arranged Employment Offer approved from Service Canada,

I have submitted my full applications with all original documents as per my lawyer request to the CIO on 12/01/2011.

I have received postive reply (with UCI number) from CIO on 15/03/2011 informing me that my file have been transferred to the Via Office in London.

Would anybody inform me what the next step will be ?

Many Thanks in advance,

Amjad

CIO just corrected the validity period of IELTS from 1 year to 2 years in "CIO document checklist" form(changes took place on 22/03/2011).
Dont worry, this little correction would not negatively impact your application.

Any advice on this question? Pleaseee

open the pdf form (IMM5612E). Click on the tab "File". then click on "properties". check the description "modified"
you will find the date of modification
