IMPORTANT: BOWP changes

BOWP requirements have been updated/amended.
AOR is not necessary anymore, just R10 OK. In short - you can send your BOWP application together with PR application (if your current wp expires in less than 4 months), and they will wait for R10 completeness check. If it is OK, they will process your BOWP.

Damn.. I just sent in my bowp app a week ago...
So from what I read I understand that now a foreign national CAN apply for bowp at the port of entry? Is that correct? If so I can take my payment receipt and drive to the boarder? (I'm from a visa excempt country)

Before I know that you couldn't flagpole for bowp..

You have to wait for it to be done (per the article). It is the officer who enters in the system to indicate a document 'Completeness Check' has been done.

if you have AOR for EE you can still apply for BOWP, is that right?
