Import Car from USA to Canada- with Manufacturer Recall

I have one open Manufacturer recall , to which the manufacturer does not have a fix/ solution .
Will the car be admissible to Canada ?

Hi All , I imported my Toyota RAV4 from US to Canada this March hoping Toyota might issue a recall fix in the 3rd quarter as expected . Till date there’s not been an update . RIV here hasn’t released my inspection form yet . I still have my US plates and cannot get it registered . Anyone else facing the same issue and if so , any suggestions ?

We are in the same boat, except we didn't start the recall process yet. Toyota canada released the recall fix and our local dealership is checking to see if they can do the work and get it cleared for us. Battery clamp down is the problem. I can let you know when we hear back. The local dealership has been fantastic so if there's any way to get it fixed, i know they will.

Could you please provide details on which local dealership you’re getting info from ?I tried contacting Toyota Canada and they responded stating Toyota US and Canada are separate entities . My recall is specific to OCS sensor on airbags , and it doesn’t have an official fix yet !
